Our History
Turley Jewelers was founded in 1948 by Everett and Mabel Turley. When Everett left the service he began attending jewelry and watch-making school. After graduating, he took over Holland’s three glass cases at Woods Drug Store (which is now Hilliard Lyons parking lot at the corner of Fourth and Locust). Everett and Mabels’ new business continued to grow and eventually needed a location all its own. Opportunity knocked in 1969 when Baynhams Shoes moved out of its location at 12 NW 3rd Street. The owner asked Everett if he was interested in the location, and he made the decision to relocate. Turley Jewelers was at that location for over 48 years. We have since moved to our new location right next door to our old location. Our address is now 14 NW 3rd Street. Everett and Mabel have since passed away. Their son Bryan Turley and his wife Joan are now the owners. They take pride in now being a third-generation jewelry store! Turley Jewelers provides one-of-a-kind jewelry designs for the Evansville, IN area.
